Is there any advise for a new turkey hunter trying to get out after a rain? Tonight will be the last chance of getting on some really nice ground, then it's back to my not so great land and public. I was thinking of waiting until this rain stops then heading out to sit the rest of the day, thoughts?

Killed alot of birds in the rain. As long as its not a sheer downpour they could care less. They often aren't as vocal though. Id find a green field, set up shop and wait as long as you can.

After a rain they will normally go on doing what they'd do on a regular day. But during a rain, as long as it's not a heavy rain or storm, they like to go to open fields. They can't hear as well so they like to be able to see if there's any danger coming their way.
