Rainy weather tactics

Well, down in Burlington this weekend its supposed to be pretty rainy. In the past I've always done well in the rain but I've gotten soaked. This year I'm going to be setting up my brickhouse blind on a strutting field so I won't get wet. I've never hunted fields in the rain before, just wanted to see if anyone had any advice...would like to tag one tomorrow morning, I have a wedding to go to on Saturday.

You pretty much covered it. Find a field that that you know they like to strut in and set up shop. Bring some snacks and sit back and relax. I usually call very little....the birds will be there if you have done your homework. I actually enjoy hunting in the rain, with or without a blind.

Always seems light rains bring them out of the timber to the fields, a heavy rain will do the opposite but those aren't much fun to hunt in. Blinds are a good deal and you've got the right idea camping out in a turkey hotspot.
