RAMBO!!!!

I was sitting in my blind tonight on public ground. I was there for about an hour when I heard a gun shot go off in the distance. It didn't sound like a high caliber gun. About a half hour later I heard another one only alot closer I just figured it waas somebody shooting squirrels or something. Then another 15 minutes went by when another one went off but this one was close. It scared the crap out of me. I could see the sun shining through the trees. Then while i was cleaning out my shorts I saw somebody go run though the trees and stop like the were hiding. He started doing hand signals like there was a bunch of them. Then he ran towards me and hid behind another tree. I started to get really nervous so I yelled "Dont shoot this way". He stood there for a long time like I couldn't see him or something. Then he started with his hand motions again and took off running and there wasn't anyone following him. I didn't hear any more shooting after that. It was a long walk back to the truck. Is it legal to play army in public hunting areas. WHAT A FREAK. I thought about yelling I can see you but I didn't know how stable this guy was.

HA HA muddy!!!!! looks like dblmainbeam caught you!!!!

wonder if they make camo straight jackets?

Good thing "Rambo" didn't go postal on you in your blind. I would check with a warden in your area to find out if "war games" are allowed using real guns!
Keep your head low on your next hunt

that is very scary. i had a similar event on public land a few years back. I was walking back to my stand and someone with semi-automatic rifle started shooting from the other side of the ravine i was on. It scared me enough to have me lay on the ground and get the heck out of there after the shooting was over.

Spooky part of that was not that you heard some gun shots, but that when you yelled at the guy he acted like he didn't see you...then waved on the guys(that were not behind him) like he was a platoon commander.

Moral of the story= Dumb guy with a gun is scarry...spooky camo guy waving on troops that were not there while not acknowledging the fact that you were there is just this side of pure panic.

Leave that guy alone.

Grab your stand and look for a new area to hunt quickly. This guy was definatly unstable.

Believe me I wont be going back there. It sure seems alot more funny today. Just imagine yourself runing through the woods guiding an invisable platoon.

What a NUTBAG!

I recommend that you report the info to your local co and county sheriff. This sounds like someone who needs looking into before he hurts someone. You never know how helpful a little more information might be.

That would amke me a little nervous as well.He definitely needs to see a doc. about some Prozac or much needed shrink help.Old buck is right though I would be talkin to the sheriff before that moreon hurts somebody.

You know that is actually kind of a funny story just listening to a the guy act that way. But man that had to be EXTREMELY SCARY to expirience it in real life!!!

Could it have been someone having a paintball game? I know some do that on a public area around here. Not sure if it's legal, don't think it's appropriate.
