i am on my way to rathbun to help with the walleye spawning and egg collection for the next 4 nights. anybody in the area stop by and say hi! i'll have some odd hours as we run the gill nets from 5 pm to 2 am but i plan on hitting the outlet tube for walleyes and maybe doing some shed hunting.

went out with kdwp last night and shocked walleyes took out forty to restock another lake anywhere from 15 to 25 inches.Let me know what you guys get good luck shed hunting.

MUDDY-I'll be at the marina Friday sometime. Where are you staying.don't mind doing a little shed hunting with the dogs. I will also be at the Playtime Storage just before the dam.

i'm staying at the rathbun fish hatchery. if you know where that is stop by and ask for matt watters (that's me) and maybe i'll have time to go play. our hours of operation for night time netting are 3pm to about 2 am or so. i usually have spare time from 10-2 each day. last night the water was a little rough with that 30 mph wind from the northwest, had some 10 foot waves or so crashing over the boat, it was great.

looked it over BW, i heard tell that a booner was taken off the timber not 200 yards from the hatchery back door.

the spawn is pretty much over, i think they missed it by a week or two. i did manage to see the largest walleye of my life...a 31.5 inch 13.5 pound female. absoluely phenomenal.
