Receiver Hitch Deer Hoist

I have a receiver hitch deer hoist that I made several years ago and used it once. I am looking to sell for what I have into it for materials. Made of 2" square tubing, all welds are solid. Pivots in the middle for swinging game into your truck bed.

Are you able to let you tailgate down with this attached or do you lift it over the side?

I will test when I get home tonight, in the picture I have the receiver portion slid all the way in. There is probably 6-8" it can be slid out further. When I built it I had a Chevy Colorado so the tail gate was not as large. I will test tonight and let you know.
