I have been spending a lot of time this year on this particular buck. I have nicknamed him Forky. I know, real original. I was happy to see that he made it through the first gun season, hopefully he can last one more weekend. I have had him within twenty yards twice. The first time I grunt-snort-wheezed him into range and he proceded to destroy a hackberry sapling. It was too dark to clearly see my pins. The second time was about ten minutes before shooting light, still to dark and I could only make out his grey form. Through binoculars I could clearly tell it was him. Oh well, I will keep trying. I was kinda bummed to see he busted off about eight inches of his right beam, but I won't be to picky if I have the chance!
