I'm not buying it!

This buck is reported to be a captive-raised deer that is now free to try and make a living on his own. The state mandated the fence be taken down.
I can not believe that a state wildlife agency would sanction the release of a pen raised deer into the wild. Most times they are petrified that the pen raised deer are going to introduce CWD or other diseases. I think the more likely scenario would be that they would petition for killing the deer.

There might be more to this story than what is presented.

I have a hard time believing that a grower would just "let" this deer go. Iowabruce knows more about this than me, but I bet the owner of the deer would fetch a pretty penny for that buck on the market. I don't know dollar amounts, but I bet that deer is worth more than most of us make in a year, so I don't really grasp the "tore the fence down and let him free" thing.

I agree...that guys is sporting a lot of bone. To just let him go into the wild would be almost unthinkable.

That's the same buck that Iowabruce has been posting. "Primetime". I'm calling BS on this one!
