I hunt this area with a buddy a couple times a year. Basically it is rough hunting up to a mile next to the road. If you scout the area early enough ( when enough light) My buddy and his other buddy that he hunts with down there on a regular basis have got some monsters out of there, but it is a hour to 2 hr walk to get out of the way of everyone else, you have a boat you are better off. Also try around the Runnells area, seems like it is a lot less populated with bow hunters.

Well it was! The thing about runnells is the illegal 4-wheeler activity. It pisses you off when you walk a half an hour to your stand only to have a large group of 4 wheelers come by you. I have talked to the riders and they could't care less about the laws or the signs, I have called the DNR and they couldn't care less either. . Very frustrating.
