Refuge question

Is it legal to walk on a game refuge during the off season? I've been looking on the iowa dnr website but can't find out anything.

What are you calling a "game refuge"? You can walk State Wildlife Management Areas and keep any shed antlers you find and the same is true for state parks.

Well theres an area up here that I would like to shed hunt this spring and I was under the impression you couldn't even walk on the property. Are there any you cant walk on. I thought it was called a refuge but maybe theres another name for it.

I guess what Im talking about is a wildlife preserve.
