Release trigger sensitivity

How sensitive do you guys set your release triggers? How much travel/creep do you have in the trigger if any at all?

I like mine stiff and sometimes shoot off the second joint in my finger as to squeeeeeeze the trigger rather than slap it . I got a case of target panic though, every once in a while I'll flinch and miss the target by a 2 foot .

I keep my bow release light and crisp like my hunting rifles. I have a tough enough time going back and forth between the differences in sight adjustments between the two when I'm shooting both regularly! Keeping both sets of triggers the same (relative) helps with muscle memory and overall technique, at least for me.

I only asked what other guys use because my release suddenly went from a light trigger to long trigger pull. Guessing a spring broke or the springs have lost some tension, if that makes sense. It's 15 years old so I picked up a new one even though I adjusted the travel on my old one. It really messed up my shot though, going from a hair trigger to a trigger with a lot of travel. Which made me wonder what most hunters use.

Very light hair triggers tend to lead to trigger punching & target panic.
Most people are better off with a stiff trigger with little to no travel - slow steady squeeze and a little bit of a surprise release leads to the best accuracy overall.
