ESSEX, Iowa A bow hunter has died after falling from a tree stand near Essex, in southwest Iowa.
The Page County Sheriff's office says Martin Richard Franks, of Essex, was found dead last night (Wednesday) about two miles southwest of Essex.
Franks, who was 52, had been bow hunting for deer.
Family members notified authorities and began searching for Franks at about 8:30 last night.
