I got a call about 9:45 from my co-worker who told me that she just saw a big buck hit on the side of interstate 94. Jumped in my truck and i was there in a half an hour. Got my salvege tag on the way. It's sad to see such a nice animal on the side of the road but it was nice to get some more meat.

Its sad to see such an amazing animal meet death in such a bad way. Its good though that you made it there so quick to get the animal, at least it won't become coyote food.

Just cleaned this buck this weekend. When I was working on the front shoulder I found a small circle of aluminum. i looked closer and found what I believe to be a Thunderhead embeded in the "elbow" joint. First time i found something like this in a deer.
