I picked up 12 new arrows today. 6 with strait veins and 6 with helical. Well I felt I was off a bit so I put an extra arrow in each target. WAM ruined an arrow before I even paid for them. I try to tell the shop own the arrow was defective but for some reason he did not buy it. The helical arrows where to be my fall hunting arrows, now I am down one before I even started.

Mike - what kind of arrows did you end up getting? Did changing the helical on your arrows seem to help your arrows group any better? Not sure if changing the helical on your arrows will help out getting a better "bullet hole" when you paper tune. Did it seem to help?

We have another "Robinhoyt" on our hands.

You know what they say....Even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while!

Supertec, I bought Beman ISC 400 Hunters with Iowawhitetail wraps. The bow needed a little work before it would paper tune. The cams where not coming around exactly in time. String stretch, it just took a few twists on the V string. I think all is well now and I am hoping the helical arrows will improve fixed blade flight. I will shoot some practice blades one of these next day.

Ghost, personally I wish would have let this nut lay. It’s hard to talk about being lucky when you've just ruined a new arrow.

Wow ! Great shooting Ironwood! With shooting like that you won't need many hunting arrows this fall!

Ironwood, was it in the bullseye when you hit it? Otherwise it's called a Maid Marion.

I had my first Robin Hood shot happen this year on June 27th and two days later it happened again. It does kind of elevate your ego for a minute until you realize you just shot a hole in wallet.

I thought this post was gonna be different, you guys need to shoot seperate targets for each individual shot. I never shot a robin hood but I dont like redoing veins after cutting them. Good group Rack..

alaskan, I almost never shoot two arrows at the same target for that very reason.

Rack, cool pictures.

???? Aren't you suppose to shoot groupings at the same target to tune your bow? If you guys are that good, that you never, ever shoot at the same target......shouldn't you be in the circuit with Randy Ulmer or something? If I'm refletching a couple arrows here and there, I'll be more than happy with that!!!!!

You don't have to shoot the same target to see if you’re grouping or not. I like the targets or bags with 5 to nine X per side. You get the same effect in my opinion less damage. Either way I obviously don't shoot like that every time.
