Rubber Boot Repair?

Any good techniques to repair rubber boots? I have torn the front (just above the ankle) on two different pairs of boots, two years in a row, both on barbed wire fences hidden in the grass. Unfortunately they are both right boots so I can't even mix them to make a good pair.

Anyone had any luck in repairing them? Shoe Goo? Epoxy? Duct Tape? Tire repair patches? Anything?

me too ! bought a pair of muck extreme hunting boots thought i would give them a try. still would like to repair my old ones for a back -up pair.

Haven't used them but there are rubber boot repair kits sold more specifically for waders.. u might give them a try

Once took a pair to a local tire guy and had him patch a couple of tears. An inexpensive solution, but didn't exactly match the camo.

Sonolastic NP1 caulking. It will stick to about anything and stays pliable for years. Kings materials in Coralville and Stetson Supply in Cedar Rapids carry it. Around $5 a tube. I have used it on 2 different pairs of boots with great success.

YEP- tried most things and if I clean boot with alcohol, scratch and apply shoe-goo, sure does the trick and I am pleased with results.

I second that scratch with some fine sand paper, clean with alcohol, and then goo

Just repaired a pair of lacrosse boots with aquaseal. Not sure if it can be bought locally. I got it from cabelas. It worked great.
