Hey guy's,
What's going on right now?Is anyone having any luck?I went Friday and had a dandy come in around 9AM but he dropped over a ridge line and did not offer me a shot,got my heart rate up though!!!I"m geussing that he was in between does,I also seen a dandy last night in a cornfield without any does around him,He was not in any hurry and I think he was look'in for love.Anyway I'm going out in the morning and setting up on the ground and was curios as to what luck if any you guy's are having.I alway's here and read that this week and the next are 2 of the best week's to harvest the true GIANT"S.

yesterday at 1 pm i was walking out with a buddy to go turkey hunting when a buck pushed a doe right by us. he was a huge 10 with 4 inch stickers off his G2's. i usually overguess on score so i'll say he was a 150-160 buck. i stood dumbfounded clutching my 10 gauge as the buck stared at us from 50 yards away.

well, actually i usually stand around dumbfounded most of the time so draw your own conclusions.

Yesterday I saw a huge 170 class 10 pointer at 8:35 am. and a 120 class 8 pointer that i harvested at 9:00am. As soon as i get a pic i am going to put it in the harvest report. Both of these bucks responded to rattling.
 
the patterns in my area have seemed to change in the last 4 days. all during rut i was seeing deer in a corn/hay field. last 3 times out i hav'nt seen them there at all. tonight i did a little exploring and found they have moved into an adjoining been field. guess i have a couple of stands to move tommorrow..

Did you rattle aggressively or lightly?Also did you use a grunt call with it?Sound's like the buck's are still rutting pretty heavy.I'm fired up!!!

Had time for a few hours on stand tonight. Rattled in two basket racks, one came in running and worked up. They don't seem to be quite so tied up with the does. Had two new scrapes opened up near that stand also. I think it's going to be a good week.
 
Saw lots of action tonight. Rattled in 4 different bucks. One a 130 class basket that I have seen in arrow range three times. Saw 6 does as well.
Does and bucks were feeding together for the last hour of light. No chasing.
This is going to be a great week.
