Down in southern Iowa in my best stand. Got in at 6:15 and didn't jump a single deer. So far success. Will keep you posted on movement / if I see chasing etc Goodluck everyone!!
 
I Will Be OuT Then As Well, Friday Through Sunday, I Think It Should Be Getting Pretty Good This Weekend In Madison County
 
No clue why i put Saturday - today is Thursday. Wishful thinking!!

So far 1 decent buck ran right under me at first light chasing two doe. Nothing since except squirrels and crows

When there chasing does...Try a breeding grunt or a snort wheeze..
 
I just had 10 black and white one come to within 30 yards of my stand. No shot though and all does and fawns
 
4 little bucks and 12 does, biggest maybe 80" lol but all were chasing, one was grunting as he was chasing, pretty neat!!!! good luck!
 
Sat this morning. Seen 7 deer. Lone doe running across cut corn field at first light. Button buck came through about 7:15 grunting like he was king of the woods. Had a 2-3 year old buck cruising across the dam behind me around 8. He continued running around in circles in the cut corn for the next 15 min. Doe and fawn came through around 8:45 and then another pair came through about 9:30. Still seeing a lot of does and fawns together these last couple days.
 
I've only seen 4-5 1 1/2 old dinks. No chasing. And nothing coming to any calls. Been pretty slow today. Yesterday as well
 
I've got Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off work to hunt.

Unfortunately my daughter has a double ear infection, and an eye infection so I have to skip the morning hunts Thursday and Friday. :(
 
Basically sat all day today with about an hour break in between to grab a sandwich & switch stands. I saw a total of 10 different bucks & 21 does/fawns. The only shooter I saw was this evening - a 160 class 10 point chasing does about 100 yards away. The next closest were a couple 110-120 class bucks. I had zero response to rattling & limited response to other calling. I hope things start picking up in the coming days in terms of mature buck movement. I've hunted hard the last four days & have only seen two mature bucks ... the rest have all been 3-1/2 or less. Can't hunt tomorrow but I'll be out over the coming weekend.
