Saving Aerials. Useful Tool

I am sure most already utilize something like this but I never knew it existed until I got my work computer. It is essentially a program that takes screen shots and then you can edit them.

A free version can be found at http://getgreenshot.org/

The original version I had was called SNAGIT that was awesome but I think it costs money.

I always like to draw up maps of my areas in case I take buddies a long. Saves time having a picture versus trying to explain things. Here is an area I used to hunt. I did this one on the greenshot above.

Just thought I would post if somebody was looking for a good way to save aerials or anything for that matter.

The photo quality is poor on here due to formatting but it is full scale and size on my computer and looks great.

not to rain on your parade, but if you have a Mac a similar tool comes built in. Just hit Command/Shift/4 and it turns your mouse into a target screenshot camera. You can stretch a target over your screen where ever you want and it'll take a screen shot of your chosen area.

You're right, good tool to have!!

if you have a Mac
:ppukey: :D

I install ImageJ or Fiji (free download) on every new computer. Then, you can ctrl/alt/print screen, paste into ImageJ and do what you want with the image.

Mozilla Firefox has an add-on that saves right to photobucket for those who care to go that route.
