I just wanted to give a unsolicited endorsement for the bow techs at Scheels in Iowa City. They did an awesome job with my bows and even fixed some thing on another bow that had been messed up by a neighboring bow shop for no cost. I'd highly recommend folks give them a look for your archery needs.

While they do do a good job sometimes, i always get treated better and the smaller non big box stores. Trying to support the little guy makes ya feel good.

That is the first time I have seen a good review for Scheels Bow Techs anywhere. Good to hear.

X2, Bass Pro guys actually made my bow have fetching contact and didn't give one crap about it. All they wanted was to get me a bow and the heck out of there when I was younger. Wish we had a local bow shop.

I had a great experience with the archery techs at Scheels in West Des Moines a couple years ago. I took my Mathews in which I had recently purchased at Fin and Feather in Iowa City, and the scheels tech noticed they sold me the bow missing a screw in the lower cam. This caused the cam to crack and and fray the string after a couple shots. Not only did they replace the string on the spot, but they pulled a cam off another bow to replace it since I was qualifying at Camp Dodge that evening to hunt on post. Mind you I only purchased my bow at Fin and Feather for the layaway program, but going forward all my new bows will be purchased at Scheels.
