The feelings you get when sitting on the stand for countless hours. The highs of nature's beauty passing by unaware of your presence, the lows of missing the buck of your dreams, the rush of adrenalin as a mature buck approaches, introducing a newcomer to your passion of chasing whitetails, learning/seeing a new behavior in deer you have only heard about, Walking up on your archery trophy and touching the antlers for the first time (assuming you shot a buck), waiting for the sun to rise just so you can view nature for the day, watching the sun go down and seeing the woods come alive with activity.....the list can go on and on for me. I enjoy every aspect of the hunt from scouting the area to picking the stand sites and waiting for the moment of opportunity on the most majestic of God's creations.
You will get quite a few opinions on why folks deer hunt here...but I bet you write a better paper if you sit back and think why YOU chase whitetails. The paper will write itself in a couple of hours or less based on your passion for the hunt. Good Luck
