Does it matter where the rings are on the scope? Do they have to be a certain distance from your windage/elevation adjustments? Mounting it on my shotgun, and just curious, limited to how it sits so was curious.. Thanks a bunch :way:

I've always left it loose, shouldered the gun on a rest, and adjusted for eye relief before tightening down. Don't know if that's right but it works for me.

As long as the rings are interfering with your adjustment knobs, you'll be ok. I do the same thing as firepoggy to make sure eye relief is correct. Also, put a small drop of BLUE (NOT red) Loc-Tite on the screws (including the bases) to keep them from coming loose, which can happen during repeated firing.
