scopes again

So, this is an ongoing decision always it seems. I have been trying to decide between a red dot scope, or regular scope for my turkey gun. I like regular scopes, I used a leupold last year to shoot my turkey, but put that on my muzzleloader. I figured I didnt need it for turkey, since its such a short distance. So does anyone have a recomendation on red dots? Or some downfalls to them other then the battery? Thanks and sorry for always bringing up scopes

I use a red-dot scope and I really like it. It is a tru-glo red-dot scope. I downed two birds using it last year, and I could sight it in perfectly. I never really worried about the batteries going dead often because I only turned it on when I thought a shot oppurtunity was presenting itself. In my opinion red-dot scopes are the way to go!

If you are looking for a way to just increase the visibility of your gun for turkey hunting and don't want to spend the money on the scope I recommend the tru-glo high viz fiber optic sight. I have one that just tapes down to the rib on the barrell, I never really saw the need for a scope for turkey hunting but do understand that it is hard to pick them up with the normal bead on a gun sometimes.
