I know how to score typical but I'm still learning.I need help with a buck that's non typical. I have a deer I shot years ago and I never scored and its got a 2 inch drop tine and I don't know if I say he's typical would you deduct the drop or does the seer have to be classified as non typical. Another is I have found a deer dead that has split brows and I'm not sure if they are considered abnormal points or if there considered new tines, any help would be appreciated thanks.

One side of the split would be a nontypical point and a deduction as a typical. Go to the B/C web site and print off the nontyp and typical score sheets.

Thinkin Rut is correct. If you look at the grain on the tines it should be apparent which one is the typical point and which one is the abnormal. As for whether to score the whole rack typical or non-typical, that's up to you. If the only non-typical feature is the split brow, I would guess you would score it as typical and just take that split as a deduction. Same with the 2 inch drop tine. If that is the only non-typical point, I would score it as typical with the drop as a deduction. But it's up to you.

Alright ya that's what I thought you did but this buck has double split brows and would lead to 10 inches of deduction so I'm thinking I'm gona score him as non typical so maybe he hits 180 :)
