Scouted Tom

So I've been scouting a Tom for the past three nights and he's been in the same bean stubble strutting every evening, for pretty much all evening until roosting time....last night I watched him for about 2 hours push two jakes off a hen that they were all chasing. My question is, may be a dumb question, but can I set my blind and myself up in wide open bean stubble? How close to the roost can I be on my evening hunt? Thanks in advance, I tried to hunt him Tuesday night but he wanted nothing to do with me...may be better off waiting and getting after him with a shotgun in the late season?

Why don't you just reap him? Sounds like he's pretty aggressive and territorial, should come right at ya ready to fight.

Blinds typically do not bother turkey's unlike deer. You can setup in the middle of the field and it should not hurt a thing. If he's hen'd up I would sneak in early in the morning and get tight on his roost.

Set that blind right where he's been strutting. Throw out a hen and a jake decoy and just wait. He'll show up and then....well, you know what to do!
