I just ordered the scoutguard 550 and received a KEEPGUARD 532. Who knows what the deal might be?They look identical but carry different names. Is one a knock-off? The invoice and the camera say scoutguard, but the box has no name. The pics say keepguard and the inside sticker of the camera says keepguard as well.:thrwrck:

I called Gray Wolf Woolens & was told it was the same camera different distributor. Just curious if anyone else has ordered from them and had the same issue.

VERY strange if you ask me. Never heard of it and a Google search doesn't even get a single hit. No hit on Google in the year 2010 = red flag to me. Gray Wolf has a great reputation so far as I know but that's just plain odd.

It is a "scoutguard". A division of Boly Media split off and it is called KeepTime. This is actually the same group that has made these cameras all along. The name has changed but it is the same camera.

Same camera. We are dealing with another distributer too and the name is different, same camera, different name.

Bottom line is you ordered and payed for a Scoutguard and didn't get the camera that was advertised. Same manufacturer or not it's not what you ordered.
If I ordered a Leaf River and it came as a "Leaf Creek" with the excuse it's made by the same company, I wouldn't accept it.
Just my 2 cents.

It's just weird that the camera has two different names on it.The software is different to show two different names on pics.As long as the quality is the same,I can live with the name.I sent a pm to the member here that I bought from, but I have not had a response. I took some pics in the house with it and the pics look grainy for 5mp.
