I reluctantly went out yesterday in the cold and wind and I'm glad I did. I heard a few gobbling early, but nothing sounded like it was on the property I can hunt. I had one go south of me right after sunrise and then it was all quiet. I hung tight in that spot since I saw them there while scouting and there was lots of scratching on the ground. About 9 AM I thought I heard a gobble, but wasn't sure. I made a few cuts and he answered back a ways off. I never made another sound and he closed the distance gobbling the whole way. 5 minutes later he was on the ground.
