Well after the crappy weather and not much turkey action this weekend I decided to give it a try this morning. Got set up about 5 and couldn't ask for better weather. Turkeys started waking up around 530 and they were all around me, I knew it was going to be a good morning. I had a group of birds roosted about 50 yards east of me and they were pretty vocal. Then I heard a lone bird about 100 yards to my west and I realized my chances are pretty good he was going to head my way after fly down. While watching the birds fly down in the timber east of me I seen this bird coming over the hill from the west. A few calls later and he was hung up at 46 yards. Unfortunately for him that wasnt far enough. It was all over at ten after six. Good luck to everyone still trying. No more 4ams for me for a while!
