Second Season Tactics?

Well I got the day off tommorrow and decided I have decided to go out on my own tommorrow. I am going to some land that my grandparents own that no one ever hunts except me during bow season. I like this place being like a big sanctuary to bordering lands, sort of like a place wheret these deer can take a rest from all the people pushing around it.

Im just trying to see when you guys would hunt it. I have heard some of the guys not going out in the morning during late muzzy/bow, but i know thats different considering the pushing going on right now. I dont have permision to sit on food source but the land is bordered by 2 feilds on the east and west side. I have a spot i have marked out on the land that i am calling their sanctuary.

I kind of want to get a idea on what some of you guys would do, cut them off coming to/from the corn? hunt the around the sanctuary? Oh and if i hunt by the sanctuary i can be in a stand, but if i try to cut them off coming to and from food i will be on the ground.

I would get in early, hunt by the sanctuary and sit all day. Suprisingly I have seen a lot of big bucks late season in the morning. It is one of my favorite times to hunt. For shotgun I like to get close to where I think they will go where they feel safe and sit all day because you never know who will bump what.

during late muzzle i have had the best luck at night ... i try to get in at 2-3 ... but i also hunt public..... it might be different on privet with no hunting pressure good luck let us know how it goes...
