they are really out now. a guy from work said he found a plastic grocery sack FULL yesterday. i checked radar, thougt i had about a half hour, and made a dash for the patch. i don't think i even got past where he had been, i found 10, and the wind started to ROAR. so i made a quick walk to the truck. just as i got in, the monsoon cut loose. being gone from the truck for about 5 minutes, not a bad haul.

i had an old diaphram call along, and had 2 gobblers going nuts a couple hundred yards south of me

Were they good sized ones troy? I found some small greys but didn't even pick them they were so small. I guess we know where you'll be when the rain stops.

they were greys, but the were pretty good sized...all bigger than a golf ball. i saw one about the size of a thumbnail, and left it. i was finding them as fast as i could pick them, until the wind kicked up and started to sound like a train was coming

I went out about 3:30 pm today. Found 11-12 pounds of the greys and the very big morels. I cleaned mushrooms for a long time this evening.

Can't wait to eat them.

Too nice to work this afternoon- found 7 pounds of mostly greys that were 1-4 inches. Several yellows but they wouldn't make the F&S book.
