Just wanted to share this with those who might attempt to hunt from a blind for the first time. The other post reminded me of others that have actually shot through the blind by mistake, which usually results in a flubbed shot. You have to remember when shooting out of a window to keep your target high in the window.Due to the sight picture and different shooting forms the arrow comes off lower than the line of sight. So if you have your target, in this case a turkey just above the opening of the window you'll more than likely shoot right through the blind wall. For this reason I have white index marks approx.3-4in. up from the window bottom on both sides, and on the inside I use as a gauge to prevent this.I know if I keep the target above the white index marks, the arrow will pass out the window regardless the yardage, and I don't destroy my blind. The height you must shoot at to prevent this can vary according to your shooting style and bow itself.I actually shot through newspaper on tuning frame to determine the height then transferred the measurements to the blind.Just a tip for those starting out that is often overlooked, hate to hear about a big gobbler that got away because your arrow glanced off the bottom off the window.
