Shooting thru windows in double Bull

Am I the only one that needs to kneel down to shoot thru the windows of their gound blind?

I bought a HS seat last week and when I shoot thru the windows I am a little too tall so I need to shoot on my knees.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

What type of Double Bull? The Matrix 360 has clips that can be loosened so the shooting window can be adjusted up or down to fit the shooter's needs.

I have the Matrix and I have adjusted the windows all the way up but they are still not high enough? I might tyr finding a chair that sits lower

LOL this is great. Stuff like this just makes me realize how spoiled we really are. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I shoot off my knees as well. I have yet to find a chair that doesn't squeak and make noise so I immediately ditch the chair when I see a bird coming in.

Low chairs make my knees hurt worse than actually sitting on my knees. Having my knees jammed up into my chin is flat out uncomfortable... of course it could be old age and arthritis.

That is why I bought a Double Bull Dark Horse, problem solved. I even bought the taller chair so I am not as cramped /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'm thinkin thats the best plan, ditch the chair and shoot off my knees, hopefully I will get to give it a try, first time going with a bow. 5 strutters in my field this morning, I might have to take a loud booming backup with me, just in case. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

IS IT MONDAY YET?

Tell me more...are you saying the Dark Horse has higher windows? Guess I hadn't heard that, but if it's true, I'm going to own one.

I think Liv is talking about the windows in the back. The Dark Horse configuration is the same as the matrix in the front.

Robert, I used to kneel but now have got used to shooting out of the chair.

Im with Muddy on this I usually ditch the chair when I have birds coming. I am comfortable shooting from my knees and usually move to get on the birdies. I find it easier and quite to move on my knees. I say shoot from the position you are most comfortable at. Good luck with the bow, once you stick one with a stick you will be hooked.

I too bought the HS chair and it was too high for my Matrix. Not to mention it squeeked like no other. I ended up finding a similar chair at KMart made by some no name brand and it was completely silent and actually sits about 4-5 inches lower making it the perfect height.

There was a booth at the classic that was selling pack chairs made to strap your DB on. They were all black and totally sweet looking. Does anyone remember the name of that company?? I was thinking about looking into getting one.

Yes, but you are going to be spending close to $150 bones for one.

Does anyone remember the name of the pack chair people at the classic??

Definitely sounds like a RackPack. I just bought one a couple weeks ago and I absolutley LOVE it. Real light weight and comforable as can be. Can't wait to get the whole outift in the field. I had a strange conversation with Lance (co-owner) on the phone though...he said they were down to only a few left and were about to undergo some major changes. Evidently they're about to join with another company to produce them because they can't make them fast enough to keep up with demand. Reminded me of the Double Bull/Primos situation in some ways. Hopefully the quality will stay the same because they have a real winner with this thing as far as I'm concerned.

Those DB chairs are real Taint killers. Go get yourself a cheap Walmart fold out for 5-6 bucks. I'm 6'1" and have no troubles shooting out my DB.
