shot distance

What would you guys say your average shot distance is on whitetails here in the Midwest? My rule is 40 yards and in. I'm not 100% confident past that. Just wonder what everyone's thought is on that.

Shot distance average depends the person, not the region you hunt. I setup for 10 yard shots and most of them are within 5 yards either side of that. Scout until you can make it happen the way you want.

I actually shot my Buck last fall at 12 yards. I never ever practice that close and almost seemed like a tough shot being so close.

Farthest shot I have ever taken on a whitetail is 35 yds but average for me is definitely under 20 yards.

I have shot two doe at 47 yards a buck at 43 a turkey at 47 and a coyote at 45. And everything thing else has been within 25 yards.

My avg shot on a whitetail would be around 25 yds. Never shot anything over 35 yds, and would prefer them to be under 20yds.

Tha average Iowa bow shot is 12 yards. I would say 20 - 30 yard is my average shot distance. Will shoot out to 60 is everything is calm. I practice out to 80+ yards alot. But everybody has there own limits and you need to stick with them.

I won't shoot past thirty. All my shots have been within probably 15 though, probably never even broke 20 yards.

I would say average shot distance is 15-25 yards. Definitely 30 or less. I try to set up that way. I have shot two deer past 50 yards but definitely prefer 30 or less.
