I stopped to ask for hunting permission on a piece of ground today.

The landowner already had hunters yet we had a very interesting conversation about bow hunting, black powder cartridges, muzzle loaders, etc. I walked away feeling good about the conversation even though I didn't gain hunting access. Maybe made a friend who might give me a day pass in the future, who knows?

So not the best of luck this time, but how many days are there until season????

Well on the bright side now you can't sit there and stare at the property and wonder if the guy would let you hunt. Just another property to highlight in Red on the plat book.

You have to plant the seed before you get the fruit. Hang in there, like you said maybe in the future you will get a chance.

Really sounds promising. I would probably stop back later in the year maybe with some deer sticks or summer sausage.
