i sold my old martin a little while back and i am now in the market for a new one. so i went to my buddies shop and try some out, i shot several different kinds several times, here is what i tried out today: <ul type="square"> hoyt----- xtec, razortec, and vipertec
<ul type="square"> mathews----- legacy, Q2, and i can't remeber the other one
<ul type="square"> martin----- razorX, prowler, slayr, cougar, and jaguar
<ul type="square"> high country----- per-fx, max-xtreme, tss, triple s, and the new quad 4-runner
here is my outlook on all of these. <ul type="square"> hoyt- amazing shooting bow, they were all fast, quiet, and accurate but i don't have a huge wallet and can't afford the name.
<ul type="square"> mathews- once again shot excellent it was also fast, quiet and accurate but can't afford the name
<ul type="square"> martin- shot fairly well, a little louder then the other then the mathews and hoyt but still a great bow and i've already had one and it's time for a change, so therfore not really what i am looking for.
- then i shot the new high country bows and wow. you can't say enough about the new Quad 4-Runner. this bow is soooooooo freaking light it would blow your mind. this new carbon technology is amazing. the other high country bows were awesome too but this one topped all high country and other brands. i first picked up the bow and couldn't believe how light it was, it made all the others feel like they weighed 800 pounds. after i shot it i was amazed that it shot just as hard as any hoyt, mathews, or martin. i am really leaning towards this bow, it's a little picey at $569, but my friend told me he would sale it to me for around $399 after the 5 finger discount. he said he wouldn't be able to sale me a mathews or a hoyt that cheap because the mark-up on those 2 brand of bows is outrageous. they charge $120 per bow just for advertising. don't get me wrong i would love to have a hoyt or a mathews because i think that these would be a more durable bow, i liked them both extremely well. but right now i am leaning towards the high country quad 4-runner because i can get just as good of a bow just without the name and it comes with a life-time warranty. has anyone ever lifted the quad 4-runner or shot it? just curious? i will have to say one thing though when i first seen it i thought it looked like a sissy bow because it's really skinny but boy it really turned out to be a hog! some more input would be appreciated! thanx!:?archer1
