I use an 870 supermag 12 ga and I shoot 2 3/4" Remington Sluggers with it....They are cheap as dirt, pretty much shoot dead nuts.. and I rarely miss /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
If it's a smooth bore. Then save youself some money and go with the 2 3/4" cheap sluggers. They actually will shoot the best out of that. If it's a rifled barrel, my brother has got real great results with the winchester partition golds. But keep in mind they are very expensive.
Use Remington Buckhammers Iv been using them for 3 years now, when you shoot a deer it puts a entry hole the size of a pop bottle in them, so make sure you hit vitals and not the part you want to eat.
If it's a rifled barrel-Remington Premier AccuTip Bonded Sabot Slug
The smooth bore- 2 3/4" Bennekes w/ the clear casing.
I have used the Bennekes for several years with great success. I just bought 6 more boxes at Sheels for $4 each
My 11-87 loves the Brennekes, 2 3/4". Thats a smooth bore with a rifled choke. With a riffled barrel i would check out the Winchester Supreme Sabots. Start with the 385 grain slugs. They are crazy fast and accurate. I've also heard really good things about the Hornandy SST's but haven't tried them yet.
