Ghost and pete, thanks for your help in trail cameras, this is more fun than I ever realized it would be!!

Over the past week these night time bucks have suddenly become day time bucks.

i guess i prlly deserve whatever, but glad to see horns instead...

Sweet Pix,
its on!!!!!!!!

Porky likes to pose... A LOT! One week I picked up 3 different series of him, about 8 pictures each time. He LOVES that scrape. He especially loves to pee in that scrape.

Problem with that scrape Blaster is that it's in a place where you need a SE wind and it's tough to get into without bumping deer. The trees are either ginormous or crooked as a politician. I have a few plans for that area if I can convince JNRBRONC that they're good plans.

Man...that is some wide open timber......must be nice to hunt stuff that wide open inside.

Great pics......love how they all have the damn near exact pose.

Great pics Mudster! Looks like deer really like doing yoga under that tree! Whoever said to abandon scrape lines this time of year needs to see these pics. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Gotta be creative, Muddy! I'm pretty sure I've had the LW in the tree straight behind the deer (has a busted out limb about 15 foot up). For that tree, I prefer a SSW wind. I had a lot of deer come in from the NNW while hunting in there last fall. And it's not me you need to convince, but the MIL.

Another problem is this is down in a valley, so the wind tends to swirl.

Pictures show them coming from the NNE where we trailed that doe too last year. There's another tree over there that will work I think.

Yes, that wind does swirl, so much that the doe pounding tree from last year and this year is probably the best bet. We'll talk. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
