Wild plums. Man, I remember filling my Nalgene bottles full of those things when I was a student at Iowa State. I kept smelling a really sweet aroma as I walked by Lake Laverne. I finally looked over and saw them, and decided that death was worth risking for a fruit that smelled that good. Well, I didn't die. And Iowa State lists every tree on campus on their website. So I found out were the rest were. Ross Hall has the biggest and best just outside the main doors. Thanks for including that picture. It made me drool.
