Slow turkey hunting

Like Ironwood, I found things a little slow turkey hunting this afternoon and my thoughts turned to morels. I found these while "still hunting turkeys". At first, I concentrated on north facing slopes, around dead elms, just slightly up the hill from the bottom of the valley. Later, I started finding them on the west upper lip of valleys running to the east. Any more hints and I might as well be giving you GPS coordinates.

You're on your own.

So far, this is the best use I have found for this box call.

that is a nice little mess! today was my first day out ever mushroom hunting and between 3 of us and 3 hours of looking we found around 650 morels! They tell me that it doesn't always work like that and today was one of the best they can remember, I guess I got spoiled!!

Those things will give a young man the runs. My system is old enough to handle them now. If you keep them cool you can send me about 100 of them and save yourself all that pain.

Nice find! Guy here at work showed me a picture and scale and it showed 14 lbs of shrooms on the pan. I couldnt believe it. It was absolutely amazing.
