Buck Owens and I went out on the 2nd to sit on a picked corn field where we felt the deer would feed. The first group to move included a really nice shooter buck, but they were about 300 yds out. About 10 minutes passed and another group started coming out into the field, but these were in range and 2 of them were shooters. The first shooter was moving too fast, so I could not get on him. The one below was following him so I took a quartering away shoot, and according to Buck Owens, he jump at the shot. We went up to where I shot and did not find any blood, but did find some hair. The herd of deer in the field did not spook to far so we did not want to spend too much time in the field and it was getting dark, so we decided to back out and come back in the morning. I went out and found him less than 20 yds from where we stopped looking. Sorry for the garage photo, but I recovered him by myself.
