Just a curious weather update. Here near Ottumwa the skies have become hazy . This is due to all the fires in the west sending smoke into Iowa. Guess I am thankful for those inches of rain this Summer!

Could be having those out there too! Living in the mtns has always intrigued me,,but in recent yrs,,with all the drought and fires out west,,ah,,Iowa seems a little nicer,,at least greener,,and no forest fires.

You got that right!! I still may end up out there some day. One thing there is out there, that Iowa does not have,,,Alot of wide open space and public land,,,even if it is sometimes charred.

All that charred land will make for prime hunting areas in a few years. The liberal over zealous tree huggers should have been sued a long time ago for forcing the Forest Service and other agencies to mismanage public lands through law suites. Even their infamous Long Horned Owl has been shown to thrive in areas with openings in the forest.
