Gentlemen,
A very good buddy of mine here in Indiana guides snow goose hunts in Illinois (February) and Iowa (March). I have hunted with Kip for the last three years and he is die hard waterfowler, starts chasing them in Sept. and doesn't quit until the snow goose season is done. Last year I believe they average 39 birds a day shooting between 6-8 guys. I know if your group is large enough he will hunt only your group and not pair you with others (I think he asks for a minimum of 6). Additionally, he runs great deals for youth hunters. These hunts are all field hunts, and Kip provides the layout blinds, decoys, etc. You bring a gun and a bunch of shells and that is it.
The snow goose population is suppose to phenomenal, with biologist reporting the best hatch in 40 years and the 3rd best ever, that means lots of birds and lots of young, dumb birds
.
If you would like more info. on the hunts please go to Kip's webpage, give me a buzz or PM and I will put you in touch with him. I will be heading over to IL to smack some birds with him this February and may make a trip to IA if time permits. You won't be disappointed.
