SNOW

[Ghost]

A fresh two inches of snow covered the ground this morning when I looked out the window.

I don't know about anyone else, but I got immediately pumped up for tomorrow morning.

The trees had about a half inch stuck to all the branches. Under my orange vest will be full blown snow camo, I'm fired up for the morning!

I'm all fired up as well, but I heard it's supposed to be gone (up here anyway) by Sunday afternoon. Then it's just a mess! Oh well, it's still deer hunting for pete's sake!!!!

we got four inches in ames on tuesday night, and then a couple more today!! this is the first time ive seen snow for opener since i was like 14, gonna make seeing those suckers a little easier!!!!

I also can't until tomorrow morning. Now with the snow it just added to my anxiousness. Boy do I love to hunt in the snow.

Most everybody on this site seems "woodswise", but I still can't help but to remind all to watch yourselves out there this weekend. There are always a few who don't think before letting off a couple of rounds.

Hey fellas, have a great shotgun season. Watch your back out there. Not all hunters take the time to practice and prepare for hunts like most of us do. Remember that there are alot of one day hunters during the next couple weeks. If you see someone doing something idiotic out there, let them know that they are not being safe. Who knows, you might save a life, yours or theirs.

It is going to be white in the morning for sure around here. Also a SE wind. I am considering running out and putting up another stand so Chicken Legs as a good location for that wind direction.

I can't wait. I hope my kid fills both our tags with hogs.
