Are just plain ole mean. Yesterday I went out with my nephew, who is relatively new to bowhunting. He took me to this public ground near Council Bluffs. We got there at 0600 and headed in. After about an hour and a half he stalked up to within 20 yds of a big wide 10 pt. He put an arrow in him and it busted off in him. Unfortunately we did not find him. End of that morning hunt. We then went back, along with his cousin at 1500 hours. My nephew went to the far end of the property and came across a "hunter" sitting in a stand. The guy went balistic on him, called him a bunch of names, blah blah blah. The nephew decides he isnt gonna take his crap and tells him to get outta his stand so he can kick his butt. The guy wisely chooses not to. So, Kasey goes on his way and finds another spot to sit. His cousin Chad goes to sit about 150 yds from me and encounters another "hunter" in his stand. This guy also goes balistic on him. Chad makes the same offer to this guy, he also wisely chooses not to! About an hour and a half later I hear what sounds like air being let out of something. I thought theres no way anyone drove clear down in the bean field to mess with our vehicles. On our morning hunt we were told by an employee of a business that they saw someone near our trucks which were parked out on the road. So I got permission from a farmer to let us park on his ground. All good right.. Wrong. We get back to our trucks around 1800 hours to find that two of my tires and two of my nephews tires were flat! They ripped the valve stems out of them. Now we are in a predicament. 4 flat tires and 2 spares? Hmm... what to do. I made several calls to locate another tire or 2. Now, my truck has 20 inch rims on it and his has 17's. I didn't know that a 17' dodge rim would not work on a truck with 20's. I told him there was no way I was leaving my truck there overnight. So, we put the tires on my truck only to find out it wouldnt move because of the 17 incher. Oh yeah, this was after we got some jumper cables to start my truck after we had the lights on so long the battery went dead. And after I started my truck it wouldnt run worth a crap, for some reason??? We finally got the tires changed after getting enough crap to put under the jacks to keep them from sinking into the soft ground. Now, here it is midnight and we are still in the bean field fixing what the "hunters" did to us. Well, I did end up leaving my truck in the field overnight and had to stay at a friends house because I wasn't even gonna attempt to get home, which is an hour away. I finally got home today about 1500 hours. What a "hunt" to remember! What the heck is wrong with people? PUBLIC GROUND, PUBLIC HUNTING. Do people not understand this concept of PUBLIC!! My nephew was so mad I had to talk him out of going back into the timber to teach these guys a lesson by taking their stands.
Call me crazy, but I am actually going back to hunt this place next week. Only this time we are parking out in the wide open middle of the beanfield for ALL to see our vehicles. We tried to hide them next to the timbered area so whoever it was that was looking over our vehicles that morning wouldn't find them. But the so called "hunters" found them.

Sorry to hear your misfortune. Perhaps your persistance will pay off for ya. You could still park near the timber and put a trail cam about 20' up in a tree pointed at the truck!?

Park in the same spot and camp out in the timber waiting for them. Blanket and a basesall bat.

Best bet is to be polite even when someone is being a butthead. Remember that mung that shot all those people up in Wisconsin, it can just as easily happen down here. I suggest calming down and talking to the authorities. A cool head often times prevents a terrible situation.
