When I was very young my dad raised quail, that picture of the bobwhite brought back alot of memories. Great pics.
 
Technical question, for long exposures how long can you leave the shutter open before you get noticeable star movement? Or better put, how long would the shutter need to be open to get noticeable star movement?

I've not done many star shots but 30 seconds is about max before they blur.
