Something Wrong Here

So what's with this buck. Only has 1 horn. I zoomed in and it actually looks like it shed. Or would he be a car deer that has been hit recently?

I'm not sure, but if it actually has been shed there could be a possibility that it's an antlered doe. I've heard that many antlered does will go without ever being discovered because they'll shed the antlers before the velvet is peeled off.

Does that do grow antlers will not shed. They typically won't produce enough testosterone to complete the antler cycle.

As for the buck...that's weird. It may have pedicle damage that won't allow him to grow an antler on that side. More than likely, it was an accidential break off and was probably a bloody mess at the time.

Does his left shoulder look crippled to you or is it just me?

Maybe that has something to do with it.

Iowa1...good observation, and I would agree.

Make sence too...front shoulder injury same side antler is effected.

I went out today to get that same Cam again and I had some more pictures of that same buck. It does look like his shoulder is messed up.
