Enjoy your LAND!! Lease it , sell it, Hunt it, if you are a N.R. i personally think you have property owners rights to hunt it. But, the state of IOWA does not have a program for N.R. property owners. Thats just the way it is! Besides Party hunting with shotguns you are S.O.S. So you will probably only bow hunt it every 3 years. Good Luck!

Shackdaddy, first of all, congrats if your folks' land purchase goes through. The free market system works well here. Also, don't look for a fight that may not be coming. NR landowners catch crap on this site when then start asking for yearly tags, instead of going through the NR drawing. You explained your situation (you didn't owe that to us), and is sounds like you may have a great situation on your hands. Hunt it, and have fun with the property. Heck, live here when you graduate.

Say what? Sometimes coming off as a hard a#&, doesn't get the best results in a post. I've found the diplomatic approach to work much better.
