Speaking of cold

I can’t really speak on what to get but my brother in law recently got a SGKOW heated vest and was not impressed at all. I always heard the Milwaukee ones were good. Had a camo Milwaukee heated jacket for a few days but never used it enough to test the heat out. Returned it since the materials it was made out of seemed louder than I’d prefer for outerwear. Maybe a vest or something you are wearing underneath other clothes would have been better.

I’m way behind on this but all I do is base layer with lots of merino wool & really good heavy camo. Those Milwaukee vests look really nice. Late season I usually sit in blinds so that’s kinda cheating the elements.

Saw some at scheels today that looked super nice- but I’m a base layer only guy. More things to go wrong and tick me off at the wrong times

I base layer with Spyder ski undergarments. Maybe it’s me but I think it’s warmer than under armour etc. Wear an under armour quarter zip then Sitka Fanatic bibs and jacket. Tonight I wore military Mickey Mouse boots. Not much I can’t sit through with that combo

Spyder super nice and warm. 100% agree. Can't beat fanatic either

I have an Ororo heated vest that seems to work well. I bought directly from their website but Scheels sells them as well. I learned that you need to buy a little snug so that the heat is in close contact with your body. I am a big fan or first lite sanctuary set for outer layer. Super warm and stuff doesn’t stick to it like the Sitka fanatic.

I have lots of heated garments. Funny I know since I live in the Deep South but what can I say. I like to be warm and comfy while in the stand.

Hands down you get a better bang for your buck with heated base layers.
I also have a Milwaukee heated coat. It is very nice and it’s also windproof.

The cats meow is putting on the heated base layer and the Milwaukee coat. Only issue is getting in a heat coma and falling asleep. It also helps with a cold stiff back.

My heated base layer shirt is made by VOLT. I’ve had it for 4-5 years with no issues. I hand wash and hang to dry. I put a little bag around the battery cable to keep it dry when I wash it.

I am a believer in if cheap is good do it. Got a tide we vest last year and have been impressed for the value, if you wait for a sale you can get one for $50 or $75 can't beat that. With two battery packs and running on low I can do an all day sit and be toasty.

Charging batteries at night sucks but if it means I am warm the next day it's a win for me.
