Okay so I get a speed mod is suppose to make it faster but.... Is the smooth mod that much noticably smoother? I need to change the draw length by 1/2" so what do you suggest? I don't think I need the extra 10-15fps.

Oh and woooohoooo movin up in the world. Only took 2 arrows for me to make my decision. Wife doesn't understand though, lol. Matt don't be suprised if she ever sees you and you get a dirty look, hehehe.

I killed 11 deer with that bow on the smooth mod, I don't think I'd change a thing.

And Ken, I'm not worried, I don't slow down when I go through O.J.

I need to shoot it more before I decide to change the draw length. I just need to find a good anchor point with the extra 1/2".

Don't drive to fast either though, she is a dispatch...errr excuse me a radio operator.

i had the speed mod, went to the smooth to fix my drawlength, you won't miss the speed a bit. i shot both mods in my tribute before i bought it last year, and couldn't tell too much of a difference.

I don't have a clue what you guys are talking about. Must be an inside thing.

What is speed mod and smooth mod for?

From: http://www.bowhunting.net/artman/publish/ConradBowTechTriburt.shtml

I don't have a Bowtech either but took a stab at it.

This year Bowtech has added length modules in half inch increments from 26 to 30 inches. A big improvement over last years cams, which had to be changed out for every ½” of draw length. The modules are easy to change and no bow press is needed for adjusting the draw modules or the let-off from 65 to 80 percent.

As mentioned earlier you have a choice in how the style of cam, speed versus smoothness. This is the best of both worlds because whichever module you choose you get a great shooting bow. It allows archers to pick their shooting style, or change back and forth with one bow design. The speed cam offers, well as you can guess, faster arrow speeds. The secret is draw weight that accelerates up to poundage promptly and keeps it throughout most of the cycle until quickly tapering off. The smooth module is more of a gradual cycle that builds to poundage over the entire draw before letting off at the end. Both cam modules give you great speed and as a matter of fact it comes down to comfort based on the shooters preference. The speed cam on the average is eight feet per second faster, and mine came from the factory at 313 fps based on my 29” draw at 70 pounds.

Suppose it will be just like choosing a bow. Shoot it to find out!! I'm sure I can find a good anchor point 1/2" more than my old bow. Just need to get use to shooting it. Thanks gents.

I will add that if you like a HUUUGE Hump before you get to the valley then go with the speed mod, if you like a more shallow hump when you get to the valley then go with a smooth.
