Spooking deer

I went out to reposition my camera last night, and the exact thing I didn't want to happen did. I kicked up the big boy that I new was in the area. My question is, is it early enough in the season that I shouldn't worry about it, or is there a chance that he may avoid this area now or even find a new place to call home?

Wow, that sucks. I do think that it is still early enough in the year that he isn't going to flee to the next county.
I wonder how many people kick up the BIG one on their land when they are checking trail cams and don't even realize it? I would come up with a new plan for trail cams on that farm the rest of this year so you hopefully do not spook any area that you plan on hunting. It is about this time of year that I move my cameras as far away from my stands as possible.

If you know he is there and if you have photos of him, you might want to pull the cams and leave the area be for a while. Big mature deer are not like 3,2 or 1 year old bucks and it does not matter what time of year it is when it comes to pressure. They are completely different animals and do NOT tollerate activity well. My suggestion, for what its worth.

if i were you i wouldnt worry about it. Ive been out scouting and have scared up a nice 130" 10 pointer. And when i got to the stand i saw him the next day. And the next and the next. If i were you i wouldnt worry about it. But thats just me. I have only scared up 1 big buck and thats the only one i have seen around were i hunt. For some reason he dissapeared right before rifle season. But i hope he sticks around and good luck with him. Oh and did you get any pictures of him? If so post them so we all can see how big this sucker is
