Spot Hogg Wrap Modification

Cornfed

Bowhunting Addict
I have decided to put my Spot Hogg on the new Guardian. I am wanting to modify the sight with the new wrap kit. I had read that the kit comes with new sight pins as the fibers will not work on the old sight pins? Can anyone verify this.... if so is it just a matter of putting the new pins in the sight bracket and bolting the wrap onto the front of the sight... or do you also have to install the fibers onto the pins?

Thanks Matt,.... shortly after posting this I found them on Cabelas website... any better place to get them?

Full Quiver... thanks for the input... I actually have one almost identical to this... custom made from a guy from Ohio. I have not liked it very well. Seems to only light my top pin reasonable well, but overall not very bright. I am mostly wanting the wrap for turkey hunting in a blind anyway. I have never found my Spot Hogg to be too dim during legal shooting hours without a light.

Better place to get them, check keystone country store, they usually are cheaper then cabelas on most stuff.

Also I bought the wrap for my Hogg-it and ended up taking it off and just adding LD fibers from fitzfibers.com. They are way brighter. Just put tubing around your fibers and I have had no problems plus you save $50.

Just another option.

It cost me $20 for 15' of fiber from fitz and the tubing you can get at Home Depot

obsession archery supply . bought online shipped the next day, had in my hand the day after that. two size`s to pick from big and small ,also .29 or .50 pin sizes too. easy too install took about 20 to 30 minutes total. dont know if you need the light , i got it but pin`s seem to be really bright in low light conditions . glad i got it

Here's a pic of my modifaction that I used last deer season.

I only added fiber to the top 3 pins. Very cheap and works great. Only problem is if you need to adjust the pins at all they are kind of hard to get to.

Any Spot Hogg owners that are considering the wrap attachment... go for it!!!! I just put mine on a few days ago.... quick, easy, and very bright.... I did not get the light attachment... I really doubt I will need it...
I believe I now own the perfect sight
