Spot N Stalk Bird

DOR

Life Member
Almost forgot to post this. Not the biggest bird in the woods, but it was a spot n stalk effort and I found it very rewarding....or was it tasty /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif.

Anyway
NWTF score 34.

Had group of 5 toms/jakes across a drainage and this was the one that came clear for a shot at 25 yards afer I covered some ground to get close. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'll bet he is. I'm wondering where the Widow is?

Looks like a great addition to the pic to me! Like that black riser.

Congrats on your bird. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Hoyt is a loaner......Bowtech/Octane gear still on order. I'm getting impatient but thats how it goes I guess. Not really sure what is taking so long. Maybe the fact that I ordered brush camo accounts for the delay?

As for the Widow she is resting for now. Haven't had the time recently to maintain the level of proficiency I expect. I still really struggle to take turkeys with a compound. That and I cant shoot it very easily out of my blind. Maybe one day I will go pure traditional again with no gadgets, but for now I really enjoy playing with technology too. Shooting season is going to be hitting full tilt soon....probably time to slap some arrows together.

Nice work DOR!

Id be proud of that thing, even if i had to shoot it with a Hoyt......
